SandCbar is getting a total makeover by Global Architects and construction is in full swing on the beach of Katwijk. The new all-year-round pavilion is coming to replace the old seasonal one and create a new vibrant hotspot for the beach in Katwijk.

At the moment all efforts are being made to have everything in place for the new season in summer of 2024.

The construction started back in December 2023, when the wooden pillars were driven into the ground. The grid of the steel and wooden beams of the ground floor got placed next. In the following weeks the steel beams and frames of the roof will be placed.

In order to meet the deadline for the opening in spring, it is critical to keep the construction time as short as possible. Therefore the walls and roofs will come in prefabricated insulated panels and will be installed on site.
